Once your enrollment agreement is validated, a Welcome Letter will be e-mailed to you that will explain the details of your course. If you are enrolled in a blended course, you will also find the address of the location where you will meet with your instructor.
If you are a new student, login information will be sent to you in a separate email.
In order to learn how to get help, use the “How to Get Help” procedure that your instructor has posted in the Course Announcements forum in your online courseroom. The same How to get Help procedure is available in the top menu from any page of your online courseroom, on the far right.
The Academic Policy available to you in the College Policy and Procedure section of your online courseroom outlines the Incomplete Gradebook process. An incomplete letter is our attempt to highlight where there is missing work and to provide an opportunity for you to submit the work within a specified period of time. The Academic Policy and Course Syllabus outline assignment requirements.
Please, contact your Instructor first, who will enable you to complete the required activities within the timeframe indicated in the Incomplete Letter. Once you submit the missing activities, we will complete your grading and issue your Course Completion Certificate assuming no other requirements are pending.
We make our best to have our students strive. However, in order to successfully complete a course you have the responsibility to complete the activities online which give points toward the final grade, as reported in the syllabus. If you receive a failing letter because your grade was less than 70% or C-, APT College gives you the opportunity to attend the same class one more time at no charge. Please, contact your Education Representative, or call the APT Office at 800-431-8488.
As outlined in the Academic Policy available in your online courseroom, in order to meet the attendance requirements you must post at least one message in the Weekly Discussion Forum each week. If for any unforeseen reasons you are unable to fulfill the minimum attendance requirements and fall behind in completing course activities within the established deadlines, you must submit a formal request for extension to your instructor with a clear rationale for the request. The instructor will coordinate exceptions granted with APT College Academics Department.
As outlined in the Academic Policy available in your online courseroom, in a webcast or a blended class you must attend 70% of the class time at minimum in order to successfully complete the class. For example, you can miss a maximum of 3 sessions in a course with 10 sessions. If you have to miss a session, please coordinate with your instructor and ask about activities you miss that may be important for the course completion. If for any unforeseen reasons you fall behind in completing course activities within the established deadlines, you must submit a formal request for extension to your instructor with a clear rationale for the request. Some courses offer industry certification exams that are scheduled and proctored by APT College. In this case, the exam fee is included in the course tuition.
In contrast, there are some industry certification exams that are proctored exclusively by a third party proctoring service. When this is the case, you are required to schedule the exam when ready and pay the appropriate exam fee.
Note: The online courseroom for industry certification courses provides details about the certification exam process.
