News Release: The California State Dept. of Consumer Affairs, Bureau of Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education (BPPVE) approves APT to operate as a degree granting institution effective June 18, 2007.  APT is approved to for the following program:

Applied Professional Training has achieved several accreditations, endorsements and industry certifications to assure you of its commitment to dependable excellence in curriculum quality, instructional delivery and administration. Note: if you don’t see the official recognition you are seeking, please contact the APT office to find out about other accreditations and endorsements that are in progress of being acquired.

Industry certifications provide students assurance that the courses meet industry standards in hands-on skills training and verify demonstrated learning outcomes. Note: All industry certification and license exams are proctored in class.

Distance Education and Training Council (DETC)
APT is nationally accredited by the U.S. Department of Education’s recognized Distance Education and Training Council (DETC) a non-profit educational association located in Washington, D.C. The association also sponsors a nationally recognized accrediting agency called the "Accrediting Commission of the Distance Education and Training Council."APT received its accreditation from DETC (www.detc.org/) in January 2002.

American Council on Education (ACE)
The American Council on Education’s College Credit Recommendation Service (ACE CREDIT) has evaluated and recommended college credit for several of APT's courses.  The American Council on Education, the major coordinating body for all the nation's higher education institutions, seeks to provide leadership and a unifying voice on key higher education issues and to influence public policy through advocacy, research, and program initiatives. Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA)
APT is recognized by this national accreditation service for assuring academic quality. CHEA is a non-governmental higher education organization that undertakes the scrutiny and certification of the regional, faith-based, private career and programmatic accrediting organizations such as DETC. Bureau for Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education (BPPVE)
APT is approved as a degree granting institution and is registered as a short-term career, continuing education and examination preparation training provider by the Bureau for Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education, an agency of the State of California Department of Consumer Affairs. (www.bppve.ca.gov)  Please note, the BPPVE has entered a sunset phase and APT agreed to voluntarily abide by the rules and regulations set forth by the Dept of Consumer Affairs.

International Association for Education and Training (IACET)
APT has been approved as an Authorized Provider by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET), 8405 Greensboro Drive, Suite 800, McLean, VA 22102.  In obtaining this approval, the APT has demonstrated that it complies with the ANSI/IACET Standards which are widely recognized as standards of good practice internationally. As a result of their Authorized Provider membership status, APT is authorized to offer IACET CEUs for its programs that qualify under the ANSI/IACET Standards.. (www.iacet.org/)

California State University San Marcus – Extended Studies
APT courses can be taken through CSUSM’s Extended Studies (www.csusm.edu). APT's position with CSUSM allows for joint partnership programs to assist APT students with Continuing Education Units and funding program support.

North America Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC)
APT is an approved NERC (North America Electric Reliability Corporation) (www.nerc.com) training company. APT offers several instructor-led and online plus simulator courses to electric power system operators on reliable system operations, proper dispatching/switching techniques and control center software tools to improve operator competence while earning required Continue Education Hours (CEH).

Federal Communications Commission (FCC)
The FCC is an independent United States government agency, directly responsible to Congress, that is charged with regulating interstate and international communications by radio, television, wire, satellite and cable. APT is recognized by the FCC and is authorized to provide official FCC exams in class for students to obtain lifetime licenses. (www.fcc.gov)

Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Education Support (DANTES)
APT is registered as a DANTES (www.dantes.doded.mil) Nationally Accredited Distance Learning Program provider. DANTES provides military personnel funding programs to take APT's online or computer based training (CBT) programs.

Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA)
TIA is a leading trade association serving the communications and information technology industry. TIA has created an international standard for vendor-neutral convergence technologies training by offering programs such as CTP. APT is a certified training provider for CTP convergence technology and APT CAN PROCTOR THE CTP EXAM IN CLASS! (www.tiaonline.org)

Electronic Technicians Association International (ETA Int’l)
APT offers ETA’s broadband VoIP certification (www.eta-i.org) and for certification in Broadband-VoIP, Fiber Optics, Residential and Commercial building structured wiring, Telecommunications technicians, Data Cabling and others.

Fiber Optics Association (FOA)
Our Fiber Optics course has been nationally recognized by the Fiber Optics Association (FOA) (www.thefoa.org).

Association of Communications and Electronic Schools, International (ACES Int’l)
APT offers ACES Int’l certifications in Fiber Optics and Data Cabling. (www.acesinternational.org)
